Sophia Webster: Young, Fab and Out of this World!

Saturday, March 21, 2015

I'm not sure if I even need to write anything about this line up of insanely amazing shoes. Sophia Webster (bio here) is young, well awarded (of course by the likes of Conde Nast, and the London College of Fashion Award of Excellence, and more) and continues to show off her creativity, craftsmanship and overall incredible imagination. I've been excited to pick a pair, as soon as the time comes to make another shoe investment :)

Shop her 2015 Spring/Summer collection here

And some highlights from Sophia's Instagram ... (follow her, you wont regret it)

I sent this image to my best friend Aimee who just got engaged. Love the Wifey for Lifey...much better than "I Do" which is cute but getting way overdone. Imagine the photos!!  Check out the whole bridal collection review on Bustle here.

Not a huge fan of leopard but enjoying this for sure.

Craftsmanship is the best part of this brand.

And if you were wondering how to style this incredible pair... a customized varsity jacket, leather pants (here for lower end, and here for higher end) is perfectttt. Get the leather pants hemmed or roll em up though, want to make sure those shoes shine through.

Refreshing My Closet For Spring

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

I'm really excited to share a story I collaborated on recently, when I invited DailyCandy's Fashion Editor, Jordan, into my closet to help me refresh and reorganize for Spring.

Jordan's Look
(She got excited when my closet for the first time, so we styled her in a simple and chic look for the shoot)

After finding a number of mohair sweaters, we decided to showcase as a favorite trend for spring.

Another trend we were finding and feeling excited for is Mexican Mix & Match

A cute way to organize your rings and keep them on display, is via an Etsy Antler. I had this one custom made -- I got to choose the colors, and the actual Antler. It's to this day one of my favorite pieces in my apartment.

Recognize any of these? Organize high end pairs with polaroids!

Organization Tip: Clean out all of your bags! You'll find quite the selection of goodies. This metro card ended up having $5 on it!

Of course I forced Jordan into a DIY - it's in my nature.

My favorite pic from the shoot. A neon skirt and Zara shoes.

What to Wear: Mixed Stripes & Feathers

Valentines DIY is Here: Mixed Media Clutch

Braid silk ribbon scraps and sew on tassels.

Braid a different type of scrap fabric. The more mixed the media, the better.

With a hot glue gun, cover the back of the clutch in scrap fabric. I love flannel but am also a girlie girl with a bit of an edge, so I love the mix of the glitter and studs.

Place all of your strips on the clutch, and find an assortment that you like.

With a hot glue gun, glue everything onto the clutch.

Seal the edges of your fabric backing with hot glue.
